Love's Steps Festival - Ending violence - Nourishing love
Hanoi, December 3, 2017 - Thousands of young people and people from Hanoi attended the Love's Steps festival at Thong Nhat Park today. In the orange and white color, the audience shared the message of joyful, active life, dancing together to bring each other closer together, energizing, towards life without violence, only love and to be loved.
The event wss an initiative of CSAGA responding to Action Month for Gender Equality and ending gender-based violence. The event was jointly implemented by the Hanoi Youth Union, sponsored by UNFPA - United Nations Population Fund, KOICA - Korea International Cooperation Agency, Irish Aid, and the Dutch Embassy. The event also featured the Department of Gender Equality - the Ministry of Labor, the Canadian Embassy, and the US Embassy. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Party Committee of Ha Noi Party Committee, leaders of the City People's Committee, representatives of related departments and agencies and leaders of the Youth Union, Student Union, leaders of clubs, teams, youth teams throughout the city.
Nguyen Van Anh, Director of CSAGA Center, said: "Physical liberation will promote spiritual freedom and encourage a strong, open-minded lifestyle. We advocate creating a joyful atmosphere, active in addition to the practical activities to support victims of gender violence. A healthy life is a source of love and a peaceful way of life. I think that is the way we have to care to increase the energy for love and peace. We have discussed a lot and the zumba choice is a test. May it spread the peaceful air of peace and liberate the aspirations of each of us, repelling violence and sad stories. "
