Within the scope of the project: “Supporting to LGBT’s Rights in Vietnam and Encouraging Men’s Participation to Prevent Domestic Violence” sponsored by the Embassy of Sweden, the CSAGA delegation including its chairwoman, Ms. Nguyen Van Anh; the executive director, Ms. Hoang Kim Thanh; and the deputy director, Ms. Tran Hong Diep have just had a study tour in Sweden from March 14 to March 22, 2009. This was the first activity of the above project.

In this study tour, the CSAGA delegation has been enthusiastically and effectively supported by two professionals: Kristina Hultman and Vidar Vetterfalk.

The study tour in Sweden was a very interesting and beneficial tour for the CSAGA delegation. They met a lot of experienced individuals and organizations involved in the supporting for LGBT’s right as well as the ones encouraging Men’s participation into the domestic violence prevention. The meetings have brought many new and highly-applied information which could be used in Vietnam context. The CSAGA delegation has studied a lot of matters such as: how to work with men in domestic violence prevention, or the activities protecting the lesbians; collect some useful documents for the project. Besides, the delegation has had a lot of unforgettable memories of the Swidish culture and people.

Thanks to Embassy of Sweden, especially Ms. Elas Hastad, First Secretary of Development Co-operation Section and Mr. Do Quang Huy, the official programmer, who have enabled the delegation to have an opportunity of joining the valuable study tour, by which CSAGA delegation could have a very successful tour.
