CSAGA aims to disseminate knowledge so as to increase awareness of gender issues, gender equality, and women and children’s rights for officials from unions, agencies, community members, and more specifically, the people targeted by the project. CSAGA implements communication through many forms of mass media in which there are three main channels:communicating through the Voice of Viet Nam (VOV), communicating through newspapers, and communicating through the system of automatic information telephone lines.
- Communicating through VOV
Knowing that VOV is a popular information channel to every family, CSAGA regards it as an effective communicating media. So far, the center has cooperated with the Women’s Voice section of the VOV to make scripts and plan broadcasts. Through these programs we bring knowledge on women’s rights specifically to women, as well as internal and external listeners, contributing to the prevention of DV, gender inequality and human trafficking.
- Communicating through newspaper
CSAGA also communicates by providing articles for some newspapers. At present, staff from the center are collaborating with newspapers such as: Labour and Society, The Capital Women’s Newspaper, Sciences and Life, Law, and Beauty Magazine. Not only do articles address women and children’s rights, but articles also address problems in society such as: reproductive health, pre-marital sex, age psychology, relationships within the family and society, and more general issues relating to love, marriage and family.
- Communicating through the system of automatic information telephone lines
In October of 2001, CSAGA collaborated with the Ha Noi Posts and Telecommunications company to open 9 lines, providing the system of automatic information telephone lines including:
